"If I'm by myself I think I need protection but in an area like this that close to the city and people can always hear you scream I don't think it would be a good idea,"

Classic, if they can hear you scream you do not need to protect youself, just classic. Yep, gotta remember screaming is my friend, carrying is not my friend.

Glad that got cleared up for me.

I love it. People are in their own little world to think there's not already guns in parks. They are there.. just not carried by the good folks of Tennessee.

Give it up for the crackpots in that clip.. YEAH!

Grimes says, "I have 3 girls of my own and I just don't think id personally feel safe knowing that folks are carrying guns and weapons of that nature at parks and recreational facilities."

um, so going to the mall is "unsafe" because people can have guns there, how about the grocery store?

geesh, some people need to get a clue. It's NOT the people with a HCP that you need to worry about, it's those that carry illegally (gang bangers, thugs, thieves, etc.)

If the people that thing only police should have guns, that no civilian should be able to carry, would all move to Chicago that would be nice. I mean after all, all handguns are banned in Chicago right? There's not gun crime there right?

And then all your defenseless liberal buddies around you can start screaming too i guess. That will form a excruciating wall of sound, and scare the bad guys off... Sounds like a plan :D

Nothing will change, nobody will ever know if the person walking by has a gun on them.

Those are some very true words right there.

It really is amazing how stupid and naive people are and how much a farce these gun free zones are.

I will be starting my own self defense class here in Nashville after watching this. It will only cost $10 to join, so let me know if you, or anyone else wants to join this life changing event.

The class will be called SCREAM! I will be teaching the art of screaming for your life, in and/or around Local & State parks in TN.

All attendees should be unarmed upon entering the class, but will be considered Loud and (not really) Dangerous, after completing the course.

PLEASE JOIN!

I believe they had Shelby Farms in one of the pictures,I think there used to be a shooting range at this local.???If one of you guys that has lived in Mempho for awhile can answer this question, its also kind of funny that a person says that parks are for outdoor sports and guns shouldnt be allowed,I suppose if that outdoor sport they are talking about was football and the politicians wanted to ban football because it was dangerous that would be different.I was always under the impression that they called it shooting sports.Oh Well footballs or bullets whats the diff.I think football is dangerous, someone might run by and knock my kool-aid over.;)

Don't know if it's still there, but there was/is a shooting range on the South side of Walnut Grove Rd. I used to live in Memphis and when I got my first handgun I went out there to shoot it. That was back during the days when you had to wait (I think 3 days) on a handgun purchase.
