gun free zone

could any member(s) from the memphis area, know if the fed ex forum is a gun free zone, do they pass a wand over you to detect any weapons, etc??the reason I ask is that I'm going to a gathering this thursday, and I want to be prepared, not so much in the building itself, but walking to and from. thanks for any imput.

If they serve alcohol there, you can't carry there (until the new bill is made into a law).

Have no idea if they'll search you there.

Remember, Tenn law says if the business/venue sells alcohol for "on-site" consumption, you cannot carry there.

I had to return a little Gerber knife clipped on my front pocket, forgot it was there.

Depends on the person you get at the door on how through your search is. I have been and had to lift up a jacket as they looked at my waist line, I have been there and he just gave me a once over. I have also seen wands in use. So it is very random.

But the problem is that they serve at "some" events, not all events. Only some of them are the independent vendors open and selling beer.
