Glock 17 Gen 5 (Knoxville)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

glock 17 gen 5 (factory rebuilt).  still has the factory sticker on the gun.  all factory stuff in the box.

never fired by me

as you can see from pics it does NOT have front serrations on the slide

was in a collecting mode for a while and purchased this sometime back because it was "different"

trying to "thin the herd" a bit and sell a few duplicate (or close) guns so letting this one go.

i will NOT travel more than 25 miles from rocky hill in west knoxville (37919) to sell.

buyer must show TN ID (prefer HCP) and be willing to sign a bill of sale to prove they can legally purchase.  if you are not 100% legit please don't contact me.  i will not sell to anyone that even has the hint of not being legal to purchase.

happy to answer any questions or provide more information or pictures to seriously interested parties.  please be seriously interested in purchase before contacting me.  i don't have time for tire kickers.  i know this sounds harsh but i'm tired of dealing with idiots.  most gun people used to be stand up people but it's getting to be more and more like fb marketplace...  😉

$525 cash.  i'm old school.  no weird e-payments or checks.  trades considered but not likely.

thanks for looking.

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

IT WAS me!!!!! I think so anyway. I thought we as men had settled this sir. I was looking for something, you had that something, we started to text, you send pictures of 2 of the something’s I was looking for, I ask if both could be purchased, you say yes and send prices. I think prices are fair, I give you my schedule for the evening, you give me yours, I didn’t want to travel through the mess that is Knoxville traffic. Not during a stupid insane work day anyway. I inform you that I would NOT be buying your something’s as I did NOT want do the traffic today, you remarked comically but said OK and NO Problem.
From my point of view, we had never agreed on a deal, although we were close in my opinion, we just couldn’t come to terms with a meeting for today’s schedule.
Later you offered to travel to Oak Ridge but by then I was ok with doing the blue label program and buying a new one. Not because of anything about our conversation but because I know I can stop by a trusted shop in Lenoir City that is on my way home.
By the time all of your calls and meeting were canceled and you could actually meet me within reason, I already called and had one put aside at the gun shop. I was under the understanding that we got close but that’s all. Again I apologize for that. If EVERYTHING is agreed upon then I agree one should not decide not to complete transaction. Unconditionally. A man’s word is a man’s word.  I again apologize if you honestly believed and honestly felt we had come to terms with everything.

I would have much rather you let me know of the imagined agreement and that you felt slighted, I assure you that was never the intent. I apologize again for your ill feelings and your obvious several dealings throughout your wheeling and dealing. I wish you the very best in your sales and everything you do sir.

bump.  i can't figure out why this thing is not selling at $500?  is it because it doesn't have front serrations?

oh well.  won't hurt to keep it.

Its also because a bunch of G2's have shown up sub 300 and frames are being printed like no tomorrow.
