@Worriedman Is TFA using funds for the suit for the Covington writings? I was seriously thinking about joining TFA because I do think our 2nd Amendment right needs qualified people to help protect it in the courtroom, but that suit has absolutely nothing to do with gun rights, so made me think money was being wasted. I have no inside information and if you can explain it to me that makes sense I would probably reconsider.

TFA is not a party to that law suit.

John Harris was hired in his capacity as an attorney by Judicial Watch.

All of the Board Members (both of us) have real jobs that feed our families.  Not one penny of TFA funds are being spent on that lawsuit or go to pay Directors or Board Members for anything, no gas, no hotel rooms, nothing.
We do fund Amicus briefs and co-join other good 2A lawsuits through our Foundation, but no membership funds goes to that, it is privately funded.

Thank you for the information. I knew this forum would cover this topic and glad I found it. Just did a Life membership for TFA.  GOA is hopefully next.

I have a life time membership to GOA, their installment plan to pay for it over 24 months (I think that was the term) made it easy.   I finished my last payment a few months ago.

I didn’t know we had a TFA, I’m going to look into them and see about getting a membership there.

FPC is one I really like, but they don’t offer a lifetime membership and aren’t planning on it anytime soon (I had sent them an email asking about it and just got a response today).

SAF I was a member for, but I didn’t seem them really doing anything.  I’m not against them, but doesn’t seem to be the best place to put my money.

And the NRA, well, I can’t justify becoming a member with them, not now anyway.   I wish they would focus more on their training and insurance, and less on lining their pockets.
