I know this has probably been covered in the forum ,BUT, is it or is it not a big FOUL if you print while you are in the public arena, all I can make from the numerous laws available to read is that TN is an open and concealed carry state and it doesnt matter which you choose, but everyone makes a big issue of the print thing, some say you can be charged with brandishing some say not, does anyone know what the actual law states,I am a moron and cant make heads or tails out of these laws when I read them,I am no rocket scientist.

Since TN is an open carry state, you cannot be charged if your gun just happens to show. Now, some overzealous cop who doesn't know the law may try and get you for brandishing or inciting public panic or some other silly nonsense, but it won't stick.

In TN you can open or conceal carry so there is no issue with printing. In fact, TN made the carry laws that way so that you wouldn't be charged if you did accidently printed. Definately not brandishing. There are other states where you can't print but not an issue here.

Sheesh thank goodness our laws are written this way the printing thing is so subjective with all the crap people carry on their person now days phones, and other gadgets. I am confident in saying the overwhelming majority of "prints" that people see out in public are not weapons of any type.
