We need to know how she sounds

I'm hoping to try & start her up this weekend.

No idea how to post a video on here though 🙁

Hmmmmm......

Might not be this weekend. I need to tear it down to check, but I'm about 50/50 sure I've got my cam timing out by 180⁰ 🤦‍♂️

Nope! Cam timing was spot on. The standoffs I had to fabricate for the ignition back plate were too fat & wouldn't allow it to turn correctly.

I discovered that that after this.........

I knocked these little removable luggage racks at lunchtime yesterday. They still need cleaning up & mirror polishing (ugh... stainless) butI'm happy with them so far.

I got my front brake bled & working properly last night, too.

All that's left is to install an offset front sprocket, spacer for the rear, bolt on the tank & she's done!

Fingers crossed for a warm, sunny Sunday! 🤞🏼😃20250129_084344.thumb.jpg.74f3cab6aaaac99013e7eb2e0d67ce6e.jpg

Lol.

How many people do you know that can put a car, truck, or bike together from scratch?

Okay, I read it in the wrong tone of voice! 😂

Yeah, not many anymore!

I've put together several cars and trucks, but never a bike. It's crazy how many people can't change a battery out or drive a manual. The dealer wanted to put batteries in my jeep for the low cost of $980. Lol. It's always cool when someone can build something with their hands. It's even cooler when it's rolling art. When are you going to take it out on the first ride?

Thanks man, that means a lot! I've got my fingers crossed for a first ride on Sunday. It won't be far though! Literally just a couple of miles to start getting the cylinders & rings bedded in & smoothed out.

If nothing falls off, i might run it again after she cools down 😃

Hah! 😄 No. I went with P0SH1 since my other bike is kinda the ratty one.

That's going back on the bench next.....😈

I have a vision:

If I'm honest, I'm a little concerned about using the foot clutch. I tossed an extra plate in the stack to do away with Harley's famous self destructive spring plate & now it's a bit of an 'on-off' switch. I know for a fact I'm going to stall at every Junction for a while, so I need to avoid traffic for a bit 🤣

I had my first real ride yesterday afternoon, just 6 miles to make sure nothing fell off, seized up or exploded. The foot clutch took a little getting used to (stalled twice) & adjustment when I got home.

This afternoon went much better! I'm learning to give myself more turning room at junctions, (sharp turns, long forks, high bars & an on/off switch clutch do not make for happy bedfellows) & found the best foot position for clutch slipping.

I have to say, she's a lot more comfortable than I remember hardtails being & rides beautifully!
