Would recommend that you find a gun range which does rentals.  They might not have the exact model you desire, but likely will have something close.

I go back and forth between a Shield Plus and a 4" M&P 2.0

For the Shield with light clothing, I carry it in a Don Hume H715-M WCS.  The holster is a leather IWB clip on.  Broken in, it is comfortable for me at 3 o'clock.  Usually carry a 10 round mag with a Magguts +3 installed.  I've avoided an optic on it so far as for me, it slightly hampers concealability.  The other issue is S&W could have done a better job with the optic ready slide and the plates, etc.  Some have milling issues where it is not a direct mount and you have to remove 2 studs and lower the remaining 2.  Additionally, there could be a slight uneven slope on the milling surface causing zero issues.  Both, if needed, can be fixed by Nameless Armament.  Even with this issue, I love it.  If the grip texture is obnoxious, it can be lightly sanded or put some Talon grip tape on it.  

The 4" 2.0 is for cooler weather or going to sketchy areas.  I just shoot it better than the Shield.  It's not too bad to run IWB.

Back to your grip issue. Talon grips make different covers custom to your gun.  Check out their website

Looks like any of your choices would work and work well.  I would recommend trying the Sig 365X or XL. Prices have come down.

Thanks everyone for your input. I got the Canik Mete MC9 for $350 out the door and it has been great so far. Recoil is a lot less snappy than I was anticipating for such a small package!

If you are still debating, I would say to check out the Springfield Hellcat before you .are any purchases. I have a15 round magazine for it. Sometimes through the year Springfield will offer deals for gear with the purchase of a new pistol, things like extra magazines. Also, I can wear mine in warm weather and keep it out of sight.

I used to EDC a Springfield XD Compact in 9mm, I sold it and switched to a CZ P07 in 9mm but currently, and my current favorite is a Beretta 81BB chambered in 7,65 Browning. A good holster and a great belt make a big difference. You have to find what works for you and sometimes be willing to change if needed.

I would go with the shield, have you considered the G43X? It’s in the ballpark of your budget. That’s what I’m carrying right now and love it, doesn’t print at all even with the shield S15 mags with +2 extension and red dot. Like a lot of people are mentioning belt and holster make a huge difference. Good luck!

I carry the Canik TP9 Elite SC, I have the mecanik mo1 red dot on it and it shoots incredibly accurate and reliable up to 35 yards consistently it has probably the best trigger out of the box of any handgun you’ll ever buy
