I have a Remington 1100 and sometimes when shooting or racking it will cause the round to go off any advice on how to fix or what the problem may be?

1st quess firing pin channel gummed up causing it to stick....but dangerous situation.  Get it checked by gunsmith.

My grandfathers old Browning pump had that problem. The firing pin was all gumed up. Cleaned that out and has been fine since.
