Back in the days of old when money was made out of paper instead of plastic and credit was restricted to a lucky few, guys had to get their equipment by adapting something into something else it was never intended to be.......and make it work. Methinks times are about to cause a resurgence of this fine art, and if you're interested, here's a start.

This is a celphone/radio pouch marketed by Home Depot for THREE BUCKS!!!

This is the empty pouch with the flap open, marketed by Home Depot for THREE BUCKS!!

This is the empty pouch stuffed with two seventeen shot 9mm mags.....FOR THREE BUCKS!!

And this is the back of the pouch showing both the belt clip and belt slide.

It ain't fancy or purpose built, but it works and its cost is less than three rounds of .5.56mm TAP.

That's a good idea. How much did it cost? I must have missed that part.

Good idea, matchguy. I've got two of those phone holsters around here somewhere.

You just have to say, "Get em before Obama bans em." and step back outta the way. Speaking of which, I found a Wolf 7.62 x 39 round in the bottom of my range bag, first one with 20 dollars gets it. :)

Another good pouch for single mags is the leather or nylon pouche made for the big folding Buck or Schrade knives. They really work well for a lone single stack mag. I never tried it but I think they might also work well with a pair of single stack mags.

...or maybe a single, double stack mag...

Just a note, I've got that exact phone pouch. The piece of webbing behind the belt slide is bad about tearing loose from the body of the pouch on one side. Need to fix mine, there's only about 1/4" still holding right now.

A good idea nontheless. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but it is only three bucks, after all.

Yeah, I think a guy would want to look it over once in a while for busted stitching and so on, and I kinda figure I'll only get a year or so out of one with two heavy mags in it all the time......which is why I'm going back for a couple more today. :D

I like that. I have been using a horizontal clip on cell phone holder that I picked up at a discount place for 2 bucks. It holds my spare G-30 .10 rounder perfectly and looks like the trypical faux leather cell phone on yer belt. Thought I was the only one that was so smart, lol.

Hey what do ya know, I just found an old Gerber multi-tool pouch that I had and a double stack 9mm mag fits perfectly into it. Sweet! Thanks for the idea. ;)

i have heard that you can call gerber and tell them that your pouch for your multi tool ripped or broke and they will send you another. but you probably shouldnt do that unless you actually have a gerber knife...
