Benchmade Mini Adamas Auto Carbon Fiber

Recommended Posts

Very nice! We go to St Augustine every year and there’s a nice little knife shop in town. Two years ago I picked up the Mini Bugout, last year it was the Stimulus. I’m trying to figure out a way to sneak in an OTF on the next trip.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

I have been awaiting this knife since I first heard Benchmade was planning on releasing it. I just ordered it from Benchmade Knives: 2730-03 Mini Auto Adamas - AXIS Auto - Marbled Carbon Fiber - CPM-MagnaCut (knivesshipfree.com)

In case you all are not aware, these fine folks are now located here in Tennessee. I will post pictures and give you all my thoughts when I get home.

Awesome!  I’ve got 2 full sized auto Adamas and one non-auto mini.  Would love to have a mini auto, but dayum,  400 bucks?

The thing that made me want it the most, I love the idea of the Magnacut blade, Benchmade is one of the companies that heat treat Magnacut steel correctly. I have had S110V, M390, S90V, all of the super steels and Magnacut heat tempered correctly will have better Edge retention, strength and Corrosion resistance to any of them. Magnacut is supposed to be harder to corrode than Spyderco Salt blades, this and the Carbon Fiber made me pay the hefty price. I loved my full-size Adamas autos, but always wanted a Mini,

I will be shocked if this will not become my favorite carry knife

If any of you are familiar with Devin Rob Thomas Damascus steel, Devin is a friend I met several years ago at blade show, his son Dr. Larrin Thomas created Magnacut steel and is the one who told me Benchmade knows how to properly heat treat it.

Nice to know about the website for a Tennessee company.  Nice knife! But a little pricey for my needs.

I do see that they offer a wide variety of knives  and price ranges. I like the free shipping and I will be checking them out further.
