semi-auto question

Recommended Posts

Hey,I'm a revolver guy that is relatively new to the handgun deal, and I'm in the market for a shooter grade semi-auto. I'd like something small in grip because I have small hands and so far I keep going towards a 1911 style gun. Today, I was in my local gun shop and I handled a XDM-9 which felt really good in my hand. But the RIA 1911 that I held felt just as good. And the RIA was $170 cheaper than the XDM. They had a XD that was nice but was still $80 higher than the RIA. But those XD guns come with a extra magazine and a holster and all that "kit" stuff. If I want a fun-shootin' range gun that I can pack to the woods and leave in the truck, am I going to do better than the RIA 1911?Thanks.
