I bought my full size M&P 9 on 2-16-09 and then I found out S&W had a 2 Magazine rebate that started on 2-27-09. So I thought what the heck I sent in my receipt and form. I got home on Friday, SWEET there were two magazines in the mail. I dont know if they messed up or felt sorry for me. But a big thank you to them.;)

Good on you!

Another example of S&W's superior customer service.

I'll attest to the awesome deal!!!

At the counter when I was being "sold" my first handgun, S&W MP9, the guy said "oh...and you can use the rebate which gets you two additional mags!"....I thought wow, what a sales pitch....(Would I buy a car if it came with 2 more spare tires?).......sold on the gun!!!.....mags came about 4-6weeks later.......BHO came into power......mags went up.....happy loyal customer.

There's a reason why there are more S&W firearms in my collection than any other brand. ;)

Frankly, back in the early 2000's I wouldn't given a warm pitcher of spit for a Smith and Wesson firearm because of the way the previous company ownership had turned it's back on the American gun owner and caved in to the Brady Campaign moonbats. It was 2006 when I first saw the then-new M&P automatics and spoke with a Smith and Wesson company rep about their new 100% American ownership, and decided to take a chance on them again.

I've been sold ever since and have been rooting for them to overtake Glock in LEO and civilian markets. They still have a long way to go before they completely take back the LEO market, but they are gaining ground and superb customer service is one of the main reasons.

Wow. In the past that would have been saying something, but have you seen spit prices lately?

It's gotten almost as pricey as primers...that is, IF you can even find the spit. ;)

Agreed. The 3rd Gen Smiths are highly underrated by most shooters, in my opinion. I should have never parted with my 3913 and my wife's recent acquisition of a 3914 was like a reunion with an old friend. It's one of those that we plan to never get rid of.

And the 4506 and 4566 are both on my list of firearms that I'd like to own one of these days. Can't have one without the other. :D

David, my first semi-auto pistol was a 4506 that I bought new around 1991 or so. To this day, it has less than 250 rds throught it. Had I not shot it, I'd list it as 100%. Its flawless. I still refer to her as "my first love."

She's a safe queen primarily, but occasionally makes it out for short outings just to stretch her legs. My plastic pistols do all of the daily duty.

And no, she's not for sale. But I'll let you shoot her sometime. If you surgically 'scrub in' first! :D

As recently posted by David, I will regurgitate:

Clean your M&P mags. You will find them full of oil. All 3 of mine that came with my 9mm were this way.

I am waiting for mine to arrive. Verified yesterday they received the rebate on 03/27 - so I am hoping it will be soon....
