I can see it now when I get mine. TBI, FBI, ATF, DHS, DEA among a host of other depts will be saying, now why is wanting to carry a gun, he got fingerprinted 8 times and 4 background checks in the past 14 years (at least the ones I know about)

Except it isn't mine , all mine are long dead except for my current mutt, a mixed terrier/lab I saved from going to the pound. Wouldn't hurt a fly (kills birds though when he catches them stealing his food from the auto feeder) . Met Todd for the first time today, even though I've been there for over 5 years. Talked about getting into a class (July) with the wife.

Congrats, I took my class in Mt. Juliet from Mt. Juliet PD. It's pretty quick at the DMV in Lebanon, small office and they move along pretty quickly. As everyone has said, ORIGINAL birth cert (or passport) and a money order works real good. It took me exactly 90 days to finally get the permit, however it appears from what I have read on this forum, if you call for a "status check" on your permit around 30 days into the wait you will somehow move yours further up the list and get it quicker. Hope your wait is short.....

Great going Man! I would suggest to anyone, though, if in the NE area to sign up through Mount Carmel Police Dept......$40.00 The instructor advised NO ONE would fail the class except for 1 reason...Someone shooting him LOL! Very easy going, but very informative!

Not a very good plug for MCPD...actually that's kind of scary...although it doesnt surprise me from them....did they show you how to use radar and laser guns...and how to look at the speed camera pics?
