Thinking about using a pressure washer on my residential propane tank. My only concern is static electricity. Well, actually the BIG BANG :) that could result. Am I correct?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. High pressure water cutting is used in countless scenarios where static / heat must be avoided. Bomb disposal units often use high pressure water jets to cut through and disable improvised explosive devices.

I know what you're getting at. I'm an Occupational Safety Specialist. It's a remote possibility to build up a big enough charge, and you'd have to have a vapor leak to be ignited anyway.

Chances of ignition? Pretty damn low, though in the realm of possibility. If it concerns you, ground the tank and you should be fine.
