I just picked up the X Macro Comp. Loving it so far,  still waiting on a holster before I can carry it. $60 for a spare magazine is a bit steep but I'll get over it I guess. The Holosun 507k is a great addition, I ain't as young as I used to be.

I could have stayed with the Glock 43x but I saw a shiny thing and had to have it.

Now that you mention it....there should be a USB charging port on the bottom of the pistol grip.  Guess Kimber got cheap and left that off mine.

i bought the 507k as well. Fortunately for me, i got the X Macro Tacops which came with 3 mags!

For the first time ever, i decided to spend a chunk on a decent holster. I've been really happy with it so far.

I've got an IWB and an OWB holster ordered from Vedder. I like my Comp-Tac if it wasn't for the squeaking.

Have gone to a Glock 48 or Sig 365 because of age. 1911's and Gock 17's were too big and the all metal guns too heavy.

Getting old kind of sucks.

I have a 1978 Model 36 3" in nickel.  I can draw it quickly and shoot it accurately.  It is my favorite carry gun.  I carry a back up  with it and two speed loaders. I bought it at Donaldson Hardware in Nashville.

The advantage of this old wheel gun is the square butt grip. One of the critical parts of a fast draw is to get a good grip before you draw so you will be able to shoot accurately quickly.  The square butt is easy to grip correctly.  I stand in front of the living room mirror and practice drawing and dry firing, (with an empty gun).  I didn't want the Chief's Special to win but it beat every handgun I own.

I started down the 1911 path probably 15 years ago. I’ve had my fair share of plastic wonder guns, heck even looking for a new one at the moment, but I always come back to the 1911. I’ve found my perfect match in an aluminum framed CCO pattern Dan Wesson, it’s currently sitting in my handgun safe with a Milt Sparks holster ready to go on my belt (when I’m not being a homebody that is)

In all the years I've carried, a .380 mouse gun or .38 snub nose have kept the monsters from even thinking about bothering me.  Maybe I should upgrade to a 10mm.

Probably not a bad idea.  The monsters are no larger than before but there are more of them and they are more emboldened since the current judicial system tends to side with them.

Speaking of 10mm, I've been carrying a G29 for a while but even 10+1 of God's caliber doesn't seem like enough seed capacity if a situation goes that sideways. Pearce has the +2 extensions but you are so close to a full size frame at that point, might as well go big or go home. There are a bunch of carry sized 2011s out there like the Bul Armory Ultralight because not everyone has SFX9 money.

I started with a Glock 19 in 1998. Carried it up until the Shield came out.  Carried the shield until about 6 months ago with I got a p365x macro.  The macro is the perfect combo of size and capacity for me.

I just carry based on weather. If I’m layered up I carry a full size Glock or Cz, if I’m only wearing  a t-shirt with no jacket I carry an sig 365 macro. I prefer wearing a belt even without a pistol, so I don’t worry about being able to use a pocket holster

How do you get along with your P365? I currently cc a CZ75 Compact and find it a little jarring when wearing just a t-shirt with jeans or shorts. I'm currently looking into subcompacts and microcompacts for better concealment.

It is tougher to conceal than my shield, but not bad. Definitely better with an IWB holster.  Living on the Memphis area, I appreciate the 18 rounds. I can conceal under a t shirt but easier with an untucked button up.

I’ve carried a Canik sub compact for almost 3 years now and love it, but I’m thinking of adding a 2011 commander size to my rotation since they are a bit more high quality and hold more rounds

I’ve about worn the finish off my LCP. I’ve carried it for years…everywhere. I shoot it regularly, and am as comfortable with it as any handgun I own. I can’t imagine a situation I could get out of with a larger handgun that I couldn’t get out of with it.

If I put any pants on, a well worn Sig P 238 goes in the front pocket. 

If I go to the " Frontier " or to " Bougainville "; I gets my little bag of horrors out n hoists it over my shoulder ala " Hippy Bike Bag " ( .. ya can get em cheaply on EBay... the best seem to be the non threatening Timbuk2.  Cheap n very well made. ).

It could contain anything from a  CR920 to a 43X, to a 1911, to a giant XD-M full size depending on how stout I feel that day...

Remember, the quickest reload is a second pistola...

8 out of 10 days it is probably my Kahr P380 on my belt or in a pocket. 
1 out of 10 days it is is a Performance Center Shield Plus. 
and the last day out of the 10 is probably a H&K VP9 varietal (Tactical or sk) 

I got the Shield Plus planning on it being my primary daily carry but the Kahr is just so easy to carry and conceal. The more comfortable and easy to carry the more I do, so the Kahr gets picked up more than anything else.

There have been enough advancements in the past few years that a person who hasn't revisited their carry-options in 10-years or more really ought to look at what is available today.

Having 17-rounds of 9mm available in an optics-ready, micro-compact format like the Sig P365 Macro wasn't possible a decade ago.  If you wanted 17-rounds and a red dot sight back then, you were toting a full-size pistol.

It's true, there have been great developments in arms and ammo. The example is evidence of that. I have explored options but I don't normally carry a 9mm. In fact I just traded my only 9mm for another .45. Oh I'll replace it with another micro sized pocket 9 at some point. The one that has gone everywhere every day for over 25 years has not been improved upon. There's only one pistol I know of smaller and lighter than my KelTec P32 and I don't carry it at all.  I don't care for red dots on handguns and I am not fond of the huge mags on the hi cap 9s. There is also a trade off in accuracy for smaller and lighter.
