Heart attack

Best wishes on the recovery road.  Seems you have plenty of experience to draw from here if you need some help or motivation along the way.

Giving your all during rehab is crucial. A buddy of mine had some facial paralysis show up after his triple bypass surgery. 3 months of dedication in recovery and a fair bit of luck and the paralysis was practically gone. 12 years on he's got other issues related to pushing 80 but his ticker ain't one of them.

Guys, thanks so much for all the well wishes.  I'm  not one to throw in the towel, when problems arise.  Will be doing cardiac rehab.  My middle name has been changed to : appointments.

I don’t know anything about cardiac rehab and I hope to keep it that way.  You sound like a trooper and I bet you bounce right back.

Remember to treat the nurses well. They know where to stick things and if you "misbehave" you might wind up with Helga from the House of Pain. Don't ask me how I know......😵

I always get Nurse Poke-it. Can't hit a vein to save her life.

A friend had one a couple months ago and had bypass surgery. He had to have a stent repaired about a week ago but is recovering well.

Stick with the rehab and you'll be fine.

I hear you on "you never know what the next day will bring". I had bypass surgery three years ago,(5 total) Just follow your Dr's advice and keep a good attitude.

Goodness, I hope he's well.

As the son of a Vietnam vet - I pray for all of them as they get older.

Grunt 67, I had a heart attack on April 15. Went to Acencion ST Thomas Rutherford and they put 2 more stints in (total 11 now) and cleared a blood clot that blocked my "windowmaker" 100 %. My cardiologist is at St Thomas West in Nashville. I was lucky to get through it. I did the rehab, and it really helped me. I am now having difficulty with stamina. Can only work hard for a couple hours, maybe 3. Takes days to get over the heavy exercitation. Being 76 has some to do with it, however I can really tell a difference after the attack. My daughter has a horse farm, and I go out and help her sometimes.  Usually finished in 3 hours and really exhausted for the rest of the day.

I feel good and have no heart pain so consider myself lucky to still be here. I give God all the credit for showing mercy to me, and my wife, and allowing me to still be in this realm. I very well could have entered the next realm on April 15th. I am one of God's faithful followers. I have put my faith in His Son Jesus and believe he will do what He has told us in the pages of the Bible. I have accomplished the thing I need to do to put myself into a position to be able to take advantage of God's saving grace through faith in Jesus. Guys, believe me, you should do it also. Our time here is limited. We are not meant to stay in this realm forever. Please I urge you to prepare yourselves.

Goodmorning folks. Sorry I haven't checked in lately. Overall, I'm reasonably Ok. Finished cardiac rehab in one piece. Now in physical therapy for my back. This week winds that up. Hasn't helped much. Probably will have to do the shots. Remains to be seen.

Have difficulty walking. Legs weak & short of breath. Using a cane to help out..Finally swallowed my ego & got a handicapped placard.

As the song said, Im doing pretty good for the shape I'm in. LOL.

Hope all you folks are doing well.

FYI, spare parts are hard to come by for old folks.

See ya, ........
