S&W Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch

Drove about 250 miles round trip to get this bad boy today and Im over the moon ecstatic. Thanks to @Patton for the tip on where I could find one. Ill be pairing this fighting revolver up with a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake in black alligator as my Sunday go to meeting rig. The Sourdough has the IWB straps on it, and should help make carrying a big chunk of steel much more comfortable.

I love a 45 acp revolver.  I will save you all the long, boring story.  Frankly, I love big bore revolvers, and the shorter the barrel the better. My newest is a circa 1983 24-3 Lee Horton 44Spl.  It came from the same collection as Spot’s new 22 Thunder Ranch.

Love it! I haven't had the fortune to try a revolver with moon clips, but I love the idea.

That .44 Spl. will make an outstanding "brother" to the .45 ACP.

Those are fine looking revolvers. "N" frame Smiths in calibers beginning with "4" - what's not to like?

Awesome. Did you get the green Thunder Ranch case with it?

No sadly it wasnt included with the gun when it was dropped off for consignment. But I got a good deal on the gun and it mostly lives in a holster as carry piece so I dont fret over not getting the case to much. The .44 on the other hand came with the blue box, presentation case and every piece of paperwork that orginal owner had.
