AR muzzle device swap

Recommended Posts

I understand that swapping out a muzzle device is probably not terribly difficult but I don’t have the tools and would really rather not mess up my barrel when removing the one that is currently in it. Any one know of a good place in or near Mt Juliet to get this done? Thank you!

All you need is a wrench and a crush washer. I'm sure the nice folks at The Reloader's Bench would be happy to do it for you.

I’ve got lots of wrenches and crush washers. I just don’t have a vice. I’ll ask them over there at Reloaders Bench. Thanks!

You’re more than welcome to use mine, but I’d wager you can get it done in town cheaper and easier than you could make the drive up to Macon County.

I appreciate it. I saw that Nashville Armory has a gunsmith that can do it. I’ll ask reloaders bench the next chance I get. They’re 5 minutes from me.

You are correct in that it is an easy job and easier if you have a vise.

You may be able to do it without a vise buy using a good wrench amd maybe a wrack with a mallet to break it loose as long as it is not a pin & weld number.
