I was just talking about Starwood this weekend. Cool venue. Had a drunken ex punch me in the face for not buying her another beer there. I think she eventually found her way home.

Saw a lot of great concerts at Starwood. The Run DMC / Beastie Boys was a great concert. 
Before it closed my BiL and I took our kids to see Brittny Spears there.

Many Lynard Skynard and Hank concerts there in high school and few years after

I saw John Cougar Mellencamp “Pink Houses Tour”. Great concert

Saw Buffett there in 1989 with the Neville Brothers opening.

The worst show I ever witnessed was at Starwood. It was Dave Matthews during his prime. He had a broken rib and had to sit in a chair. The place was dead. My girlfriend and I (wife a bit later) sat out in an almost empty grass area and just casually talked over the music. Nobody around us. We wound up leaving early.

Not that I'm a Dave fan mind you. It was just a chance to see some live music. No bueno.
