Bench seats in your parents car that you borrowed on Friday/Saturday nights for that hot date (no tats or muffin tops).

Some may have this with remote acreage, but the idea of not just turning on the faucet would be foreign too many

cold war drills thru the early 80’s. subdue dropping the big one and duck and cover would (some how) save you.

One of my favorites from when I was a kid. Spinning around in circles while flyin a Cox glow plug P-40. marginally safer for bystanders than lawn darts

We lived on a creek when we first got married. Our fist son spent every day the weather let him in the creek. I swear he must have thrown every rock in the creek to the other side at least once. He grew to be a pretty good baseball pitcher.

Sparkomatic! There's a name I haven't seen in years. Right next to Jensen.

Magnavox.

Brings back memories of having to catch your favorite song on the radio so you could record it on tape. Not just any tape either. It was a tape you didn't like anymore, so you stuck paper in the holes so it could be overwritten.

You'd call and request a song and wait patiently with your finger on play and record until you heard the first note.

you were nobody in high school during the early 80’s if you didn’t wear these with your 501’s

I'm pretty sure those are probably back in style. But remember, this thread is about stuff the kids won't understand!

Music Videos on MTV

3 channels and no remote control on a console TV

Cable Box with a rotary knob/dial
(and flipping that rotary dial back and forth quickly to try to catch a glimpse of a channel you did not have!) 🙂

Gas below $1.00 per gallon

3 Pedals is so rare now. Last time I took my wife's car to a place we needed to valet park I had to do it myself. The no one on the valet staff knew how to drive a manual.

Or a well in general even with an electric pump. My grandparents place still had 2 active wells, one with the above hand pump and one with an electric pump out in a small pump house.

Setting the first knob to 3 and then using the second to change the channel. That's even vague for me
