Well wouldn't ya know it, all my checks came back and they were sending my permit out today! Just so happens the same day I called after waiting 30 days.

What a coincidence!

If anyone is still waiting, just make the call because apparently it is in fact a prerequisite for getting your permit.

I applied on March 26th, printed on the 27th.Called today not expecting anything; just wanted to make sure things weren't buggered with my last name cuz it's unusual. Very nice lady answered and said my app's not in the system yet and check back in two months, so they haven't entered my stuff in yet to begin the checks/process.That's okay...I'll check back in two/three weeks and try again.

Try not to torture yourself too much, v3bahumut. Mine took 12 of the "7-14 days"..... 12 looooooooooong days :cry:

Just got it less than 10min ago though ;)

Here is my timeline for people thinking about getting theirs:

3.18.09 - Completed the class

3.20.09 - (Fri) Paperwork and fingerprints

4.03.09 - (Fri) Made the 2 week call - got the "7 to 14 days"

4.15.09 - (Wed) Finally came

The whole process was MUCH quicker than i expected. Glad you guys here are letting everyone know to call!

Gonna knock off early and head to walmart :shhh:

Well....my son's mother-in-law made the call a few days ago after almost two months. They had lost her paperwork. They had no record of her ever applying. Good thing she had copies of all her stuff.
