Atta boy.

It's raining and a wet miserable mess here. I'm very disappointed. It's gonna be an icy disaster tomorrow.

This was a weird storm system. The middle valley got more than the Southern valley and mountains. It's usually the opposite. We have a solid 5" here and still coming down.

My hat’s off to ya, sir! I never did figure out how to keep a dirt bike up in snow.

It has dumped another 1.5" to 2" on what we already had. Went out got around fine in my truck but the snow is too powdery so the sledding for the kid isn't too good.

NOT looking forward to Wed morning, when the forecast is for below zero. Sheesh, when I moved to TN people told me it would be hot and humid, not that I'd freeze to death!

I had to keep it under 12mph and move my weight around. The front tire wants to wash out like it does on loose gravel.

I never go to Walmart if I can help it except for engine oil and HVAC filters. I was there yesterday and people were buying small electric heaters like they were going out of style !

Electric heaters don't work if power goes out. That's  why I have Kerosene heaters and a good supply of Kerosene!!!

I used to really enjoy taking my dirt bike out onto the logging roads in the snow. It's great practice for sliding either tire. But alas, I am now old enough that  a broken bone would take a long time to heal. I still like to ride my trials bike in the snow, though, but it's MUCH too cold for that today.

Little over 5” here in my part of West Knoxville and it looks like it’s snowing harder than it has all day.

Wife and I stepped outside to smoke and there were a couple of kids sledding (trying to anyways) in a neighbor's yard.  Not really enough snow here to give a good go for sledding.  I mentioned that I've got some big pieces of cardboard in the shed, and the wife gave me "killer eyes" again.  LOL  She said I had her permission, and I asked if she would come pick me up, and she just went back inside and said I could crawl back to the house.  LOL

One day I was almost done with my 12 hour shift. We had around 5 inches of snow that night. I answered a crash call . I arrived at a Toyota Tacoma that some soldier was driving. It was upside down resting on its roof. The entire area was flat and the ditch wasn't even deep. Completely flat. I couldn't resist and so I asked the solider what happened? He said  "officer ,  I am from the north and I know how to drive in snow!!!!"  But yet his truck was upside down and in a 35 mph zone. I told him how I had been on patrol , working car crashes for the last 11 hours driving a 2 wheel drive 4,000lb car and I had traveled almost 100 miles that night going crash to crash according to my odometer. He just sat there confused. So I agree with you Greg , how the hell do these people survive ?

Several years ago I came upon a wreck that had just happened on the interstate I informed dispatch of wreck and start EMS and tow truck a brand new passenger van had went down a embankment and flipped over after making sure occupants were ok We asked how it happened he spoke broken English and said salesman lied over and over. Found out he bought new van the salesman told him about cruise control. Salesman said just turn it on and van drives itself so he swiveled around in his captain chair talking with family and here we are.  Stay safe lol

Snowing here again in the Tricities. It melted a bit mid day, so the ice is gonna be great. Plus it will have fresh snow on top.

Last time I stuck my wooden yardstick in a flat spot on the back porch it measured 6" exactly. But looking out the front window now, I'd say there closer to 8" on my Jeep now.
