At night my carry gun goes from its holster to my night stand. No unloading.

I pull the gun/holster out of my waistband and onto or into the knight stand.

Does your knight stand come with a suit of armor too?

Another reason I switched to a revolver. Unloading not necessary. It's also SS, so wicking the oil away from leaving it in the holster means nothing. I do leave mine in the holster, because I don't want a handgun when things go bump in the night. There are other people in this house and a .357 has a tendency to smoke through a normal wall. I keep a pair of pump 12g's by the bed for sleepy time.
