No, just wondering why no veteran at DHS spoke out against it, not that the media would be jumping all over it, anyways.

I can probably answer that since I still work for the government. We've been told if we say anything that can be considered offensive to anyone else, we can be terminated. Example, one of our directors, who by the way is a Capt in the Army and was redeployed to Irag recently, was suspended without pay for a week because he referred to an Iraqi terrorist overseas as a raghead. One of the ladies (aka bitch) who overhead that comment took offense to it and file a complaint - go figure.

Today the Boss and I were waiting in the Cattle Call at O'Hare for our security checks by the TSA to enter the terminal in order to return home today. The Boss noticed one of the drop down cameras nearly over our heads and remarked, "Big Brother is watching us." Now, realize that the Boss is one of the fringe Right-Wing-Radical-Anti-Abortion-2nd Amendment Loving-Christian-Tax Paying-Gun Carrying-Veterans we have been warned about, so obviously I grew deeply concerned about my, and everyone else's, safety. He might have had a bomb around his waist, a box-cutter, or even, God forbid! (SHUDDER) 3.5 OZ of toothpaste in his carry-on!

Since I was flying out of O'Hare, I was in a Gun Free Zone, so my terror was immediately ameliorated, because no self-respecting Right-Wing-Radical-Anti-Abortion-2nd Amendment Loving-Christian-Tax Paying-Gun Carrying-Veteran terrorist would DARE to violate the sanctity of such a peaceful sylvan setting.

But suddenly I realized that the pods had arrived because, I too in that moment, understood that I too was a Right-Wing-Radical-Anti-Abortion-2nd Amendment Loving-Christian-Tax Paying-Gun Carrying-Veteran!

Time slowed to a crawl. I broke into a cold sweat. Every eye in the building was on us. The cameras were analyzing our every thought. But then I realized all was well! My shoes, belt, and carry-on were peacefully residing in their gray trays awaiting their turns for an X-ray scan!

Thank God none of the TSA staff at O'Hare had read the memo warning them of the Right-Wing-Radical-Anti-Abortion-2nd Amendment Loving-Christian-Tax Paying-Gun Carrying-Veteran terrorists on the loose! Yes my friends, we successfully returned to our respective "compounds" in Mississippi and Tennessee without incident!
