I'm a loyal American. I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. I'm a Christian.

Compared to the people in Washington, that IS "radical" and "right wing".

You're known for who your enemies are as much as for who your friends are.

I think those of us here in Tennessee, need not worry about being a minority if we a bit right of center. Looks like I qualify. Sadly I don't see myself as a threat to the Government. Lou Dobbs had a segment about this tonight. I watched it and just shook my head.

To my mind Homeland Security looks like it is turning into what I feared it would be all along. Believe it or not, I don't blame Obama for this. I thought it was a stupid and dangerous idea to begin with. "W" is the one that must take responsiblity for unleashing what looks to be turning into a monster, on us. :hat:

Ahhhh, the tin foil hat the NEW badge of courage.

Aside from the lunatic conspiracy theories floating around, IT is getting pretty frickin dicey.

I'm afraid that we are real close to coming apart at the seams. More so than even the 60's.

I'm on the right wing, but I never thought of myself as radical. I always kind of figured I was in line with most of America.

Now, though...it makes me wonder.

I guess if being a Constitutionalist make me a radical, then hand me a musket and point me to a regiment!

I AM radical in that I'm feed up, and am starting to push back against the overall shift to the left over the past few admins. Obama's shenanigans and the Keystone Congress is just the final tipping point for me.

I argued with some republican friends years ago about my concern with the patriot act and the development of the homeland security dept. Even though I voted republican the last 20 years I saw the danger in the creation of a new government agency because they tend to have an agenda of their own that never considers individual rights and the constitution.

Well, this is just going to make me more vocal as it will with many others. I will not remove my NRA sticker from my window and may add some "anti-government" sticker to my bumper. If they wish to label us as right wing radicals for our traditional patriotic American attitudes then lets just give them about 80 million right wing radicals to investicate or watch. Lets see how they handle that.

Unfortunately, the only way some/most people would read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights would be if was on a roll of Charmin.

The right is not changing their positions, it's just that the government is moving farther and farther away which makes us seem more to the right. If that report defines right wing extremists, then I guess wear the label proudly.

Stop wondering. You are in line with most of America. That's the point. They are trying to make it look as if it's only a small fringe group that thinks conservatively. They are using their number one weapon of trying to guilt you into thinking that you don't want to be associated with those mean and nasty "right wing radicals."

Well,if aspiring to be the type of person my Grandfather (WWII vet) was and believing in this nation and willing to uphold what this nation of free thinking, freedom loving AMERICANS is a crime,I guess I will be one of the first to wear that label proudly.

I am not about to forget how much freer I was growing up compared to now.

If they want labels, fine! I will give them a label, too.Bolshevicks,Socialists,Communists! My Granddaddy warned me about these people.

I agree. You know, I have not really changed my political views either, and 20 years ago I would have been catagorized as moderate if not slightly left. I suppose anybody with any kind of beliefs that they will stand up for is some kind of extremist these days. So here is my new definition for moderate...No beliefs, no opinion and no conviction... Just a bunch of blank pages waiting to be filled up with whatever suits the agenda. Just the way comrade Lenin would have liked it.

"If we can effectively kill the national pride and patriotism of just one generation, we will have won that country. Therefore, there must be continued propaganda abroad to undermine the loyalty of citizens in general, and teenagers in particular. By making drugs of various kinds readily available, by creating the necessary attitude of chaos, idleness and worthlessness, and by preparing him psychologically and politically, we can succeed." Vladimir Lenin (Communist leader of the Russian Revolution)

When you are sworn into the military, you swear to support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.... . I still believe that applies, even though I have been discharged. I'm still under that oath. How many Vets believe that?

I question whether the true conservatives even have a party to represent them. I am a Christian and a free market conservative . That means I abhor the previous administration's preponderance for regarding the Constitution as "just a piece of paper" and setting out to deprive private citizens of their rights by "Royal Decree." As a Christian I hate their pandering and bowing to the rich. I also intensely dislike the new "Julius Streicher", Rush Limbaugh and his racist poison.

On the other hand I have a great distrust of Pelosi and her group and their radical Socialist ideas.

I can't even get a decent news report, it has to be Ultra-Right or ultra-Liberal, which means I can't believe a word they say or write.

I want to see a free market economy established and a Federal Government in place that follows the guidelines of the Constitution. I don't see either party doing anything to accomplish that.
