I think you mean .357Sig. Basically it's a hot 9mm round. Nothing wrong with it at all. I prefer .40S&W, but don't have a complaint about .357Sig except that it usually runs 1.5-2x as much as .40S&W.

I have got the itch to buy another carry gun. I think I would like to have a 40 or a 357. I have searched the intraznet and there are a lot of pros and cons. Im leaning towards the 357. What do you think which would be a better carry gun.

BTW its a 357 auto.

PS. I have just enough cash left over after sending off my T check for 1 round of .40 and 1 round of .357 sig.

It will be a short report.

Damn IRS. Ammo should be tax deductible.,

I think a Sig will be my next purchase. They are quite a bit more expensive than a Glock. You could almost have 2 Glocks for the price of a 229.

I made it to the range today with the HK.

It was my first time to shoot the .357Sig,I dont know what took me so long to find the perfect pistol.

I ran Hornady 147 GR XTP through it and the gun is accurate.

I changed the barrel to the .40 S&W and ran the Blazer 180GR. FMJ ammo and was just as pleased with the results.

As far as recoil,I really could not tell any diff.

The .357Sig ammo is high for the xtp.Just under a buck a shot.

Now I need a holster, this will be my new side kick.

Hands down my new favorite handgun.

Thanks for everyone replys. I was thinking of getting a M&P .357. But now I am Eyeballing a 1911. But if I decide the 1911 is more than I can afford I will be getting the M&P.

I have fitted many people with Gun's & I always want them to be Happy.

If you are Set on the Auto's, I would choose the 40mm, because the 357 Sig.

will be just a big in any Factory Model, Plus the 40mm has more stopping Power.

If you don't mind the Recoil of the Short Barrel 357 Magnum for carrying it is a

Super Caliber. Most of the People that I know don't like the 357 Sig.

Either way the 40mm would be my pick to carry & I am a 357 Magnum man, but

I carry a 45 ACP, Just because I can hit very good at Short Ranges with it.
