This is my first 1911, and I really like it, it shoots great and I have had zero problems with it thus far. I thought I would dress it up a bit with new grips. I got these from a guy on ebay, won the bidding for $12.50 with free shipping!

This is the guy I bought them from just in case any of you like them:

eBay Store - Gun Grip Guys Store: Unusual Collectibles, Colt 1911 pistol grips, Colt SAA pistol grips

I just shot my Taurus 1911 for the first time on Saturday! It shoots great, and I had no problems with it. I put around 200 rounds through it. I've got the two tone (black and gray) one. Those are great looking grips at a really great deal!

I think you can talk to the guy about fitting those TDR. Heck, look at his statement at the bottom of his pages. He says a bunch of butt heads have been trying to get reduced prices or free by threatening him with negative feedback and he says if your to poor to buy a set, call him and he'll send the pups a set free. He also says he will cut them to ambi so I think you could talk him into trimming up a set you won. Email him, worth the electrons!

Just stay away from the black Gabon grips now!!! Tey beez myne!

Yea, I just read that. An email has been sent his way.

I'm not sure if they'll look good, but for that price it's hard to go wrong.

Thanks for that link. I like those Black Cherry Magic.

You aren't kidding. Those Black Cherry Magic grips are sexy. They would look good on my Kimber.

I sent him a message about the ambi safety and mine being a taurus and he sent me a message back the next morning, communication was great and the grips fit nicely on my gun.

Hit Spydrmn up for two sets the last couple of weeks. Missed out on the Gaboon Ebony, they went for close to 30 but I got the Cocobolo for 13 and the Flame Maple for 16. Fit and finish are fantastic. You guys need to get in on some of these. Still doing free shipping as well.
