Newb looking for info and more info

Hi my name is Kevin. I heard about this site from another forum I visit and just registered. Joined up in order to look for information on handgun carry permit classes and where to take them. I'm also looking for info on a couple of specific handguns I've inherited recently and cannot find anything abut them on the internet. Any information/ advice will be appreciated.

Not sure what ya got down m'boro way but I suspect ya got several good trainers there. There are many here if you decide you wanna drive up this way. What guns are you trying to find out about?

There are many trainers in Tennessee that are highly recommended, just search the board here and you will find multiple threads regarding their pro's and con's.

If you have a modicum of firearms knowledge, you will be just as well served by finding the cheapest one out there and save a few bucks.

Don't get me wrong, money is no substitute for good training, but given the requirements the state has for the permit class, I doubt you will learn much... Besides that the movie is terrible.

(Disclaimer: If you've not grown up around guns and you are not familliar with where to look up legal info online for yourself, then by all means, pay the extra duckets for a reputable trainer.)

Thaks for the welcomes guys. I grew up around firearms whe I was akid and went hunting with my dad and grandfather. Lost interest in HS and college but just got re-interested recently after going to the firing range with a few folks. Will search the forum for the instructors to see which one is best. Just want to find one that educates on the aspects of the HCP laws the best.

The handguns I've inherited are a HK .22 caliber that has an interchangeable barrel (other barrel is a 7.65mm) and an Arminius(?) .32 caliber revolver. I found a bit of info on the revolver but cannot find out anything on the HK:shrug:
