Not particularly. The more noise we make, the better. It was pointless and silly to complain about the "wardrobe malfunction" but it worked.

The FCC website has a complaint form for Unauthorized, unfair, biased, illegal broadcasts (does NOT include Obscene, Profane or Indecent material) right on their website....works for me.

Doesn't take very long...couldn't hurt any more than NOT doing anything other than griping on gun boards about how much crap they spewed

True...but if enough people make noise it CAN get attention....or...we can just sit here safe among like minded people and talk where it really does no good at all.

It's not like your not ON the internet anyway....

Then it is time to quit griping and make them give a "rats ass" about what we think.. That is one of the problems that has led us down the road to where are now today.. ppl bitch but will not do anything because of the self concieve apathy that no one cares, but in essence if you think about it, ppl do care mostly and if we got off our duffs and started pointing our gripes in the right direction instead of continually singing to the choir, just maybe the some of that "rats ass" will start to be cared about.. IMHO.. but it is up to You to make YMV!

The FCC is not how you hurt a TV show. Advertisers are how you hurt a TV show. Contact the people whose advertisements ran during that episode and let them know why you will no longer use their products. Put your money where your mouth is. If your bank ran a commercial during that episode, go open an account somewhere else and close the existing one, being sure (both verbally and in letters to higher ups) to let them know why you are leaving.

There no such thing as bad press. Making a public fuss would only give them another way to twist our words around and make us look like extremists. Bryan's got a pretty viable idea, but it would take mass involvement. I know my bank could care less if they lose my roll of nickels I get for a paycheck:p

It's ****ing stupid to contact the FCC to complain about 20/20, 60 Minutes, Dateline or any other "news" program broadcast by a television network. The FCC isn't a nanny organization whose responsibility is to insure nobody gets their little feelings hurt.

You want to show someone where you stand? Boycott their advertisers. Boycott the parent companies and their subsidiaries. Hit them in the wallet, that's what hurts them most.

first the people have to have enough of a spine left to actually do it...

you can sit and gripe all day long....but how many are REALLY willing to put your money where your mouth is? lets see those bank accounts closing, lets see those products being left on the shelves, and the businesses being boycotted, let's see those stories making it into the news where it can be said of the people that they actually grew a semblance of a spine for a change and decided to actually stand up for what they believe in---everyone seems to have forgotten that if the consumer has the real power in this country--the people don't buy, the businesses close...

and it was more of an idea than any one else came up with...

Precisely. How many straws to break the camel's back? No one wants to be reported to their monitoring agency even if that agency doesn't take immediate action. If there are no complaints then TPTB think no one objects.

what about if everyone filed a complaint against 20/20 for their one sided story on firearms recently?
