My murse!

I've always had issues with carrying in my vehicle and was looking for something that would work better than what I'm doing now. If my G19 is holstered the seatbelt interferes and drawing is really difficult. If I sit it in the seat next to me it is exposed and slides all over. If I wedge it in between the seat it is close but tends to fall in the floorboard.

Well, I finally picked up a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack to accommodate my vehicle needs. I gotta say it works great. I can keep my handgun close, easily accessible, and concealed by sitting the Versipack in the passenger seat. It is also a great alternative to the diaper bag my wife wants me to carry! :)

I gotta say it is also great for keeping all my stuff together and has pockets for all the stuff that used to take up my pockets and ...... well, anyway here is my man purse!:D

You have any pictures wearing it or better size comparison pictures? I'm thinking about getting one of these when I go to Italy.

Naw I don't. However, it's not as big as I thought it would be which I think is good. IMO it is ideal for traveling. I wish I had had one the couple time I was overseas. It is secure, comfortable, and holds everything I could want to carry for any extended period of time. I liked this one over the Fatboy because it is bigger and has the Nalgene water bottle pocket, must have for overseas where you have to carry your own water. Here's some pics from Maxpeditions website.

Versapacks are great. I have the one like this, without the bottle pocket. Again, no pics using it, but it does seem to be just about perfect and smaller than I thought.

If you look at Maxpedition's website it looks huge on the one guy modeling it, but it really isn't! I think the model is a petite fella!

I have the jumbo with the Janus extension on the strap. I think I have pics somewhere on the home computer. I will take a look this evening.

I've got the same man-bag. I don't use it much during the colder months but it gets more frequent play during the summer when I'm carrying my camera around hiking and such.

Uh, no, not this one. It is a shoulder bag. The Colossus is though.B)

Interesting. I need to find one of those Maxpedition-type murses that's appropriately sized for carrying my netbook and accessories. The fact that I could slip a holstered pistol in it would be an added bonus.

Funny, that's what my grandmother calls her purse. :shake: I added a RolyPoly and an FR-1 pouch which is a small FAK. The RolyPoly is for my poncho. I don't know how you are going to last against ze Germans when they invade with a diaper, a Snickers bar, and a Glock 19. :D

I have the Versa Fat Boy and used it today. I like that that one has the smaller pouch with a velcro flap to put over my light. If you have ever had a light with the tap button on the butt of the body and put it in the wrong pocket or pouch only to find out later you burned up your batteries you'll appreciate this one as well.

I have to admit that I love my Versipack...I also owe TGO David an apology...I kinda poked a little fun about his "murse" several months ago in a similar thread. But he was right, they are great!

Mine has experiences a 200ft fall and, once I got to it, no damage at all...just a little dusty.
