Had a shooting at a strip mall in M'boro this morning on N Thompson Lane. Attempted Loomis Armored Truck robbery. Loomis guard drew his pistol, and the perp ran to the nearby Jason's Deli and attempted to rob the restaurant. M'boro Cops arrived and confronted him and ordered him to stop.  A shootout ensued and he was fatally shot by the Officer. Reported a 44 Y O local man. Details to follow.

We had an Armslist meetup go south recently in Mount Juliet. An MJPD buddy said that someone catfished a guy to bring a firearm to Target in Providence. Once they arrived for the meetup, 2 of them tried to rob the seller. Seller was armed and shots were fired. The sole casualty was Red Robin, as a few rounds went into the property. Scary stuff.

Luckily, Red Robin sucks and nobody eats there. Had that been Jonathon's on a weekend those two flyers probably would have killed 37 people.

Hopefully nobody else was hurt.  Can't believe some of the things that happen now.  Nashville and Memphis are one thing,  but Murfreesboro?

Also, whatever armored car guards get paid these days, it's not enough for what they do.

I eat at that Jason's Deli pretty often, glad I missed it. I almost always have my carry gun with me but glad I wasn't there to use it since it worked out well for all innocent involved.

Ya just can’t go any place these days with out being prepaired and aware of your surroundings.

Hope the officers involved were unscathed and are cleared.

Glad no other people were hurt.

myg30, your so right. I almost got beat down, in my own front year, just walking 300' to the mailbox. IMO, if I had not had a revolver in my pocket, and the will to use it, I would have been beat down by 3 druggies.

I live alone with my hound and keep my doors locked. My son in law and daughter asked me why do I lock my door when their house is only 50 feet in front of my house and I said yea and you both work and I am home alone most of the day. If the bad guys come to my house I will call 911 and if the bad guy leave fine and if they don't 911 better send an ambulance with the police. The front house was burglarized before I moved here and now they have motion cameras in their house that alerts them on their phones if one is tripped.
