I've got one and like it. It is amazingly acurrate for such a short gun. The only issue I have with it is, after I put about a 100 rounds through it the grip hurts my hand. I've had 2 of them. I sold my first one a couple of years ago. Then missed the thing the whole time it was gone. So, I bought another one. The trigger was actually impressive for what it is. I let a dedicated Kimber owner shoot it at the range and he still talks about how well it shoots. For the money it is hard to beat!:hat:

Seems a lot of people that have never shot a Taurus, like 'em. I have 2 now....1911 and a .357...both shoot just as good as anything I have ever shot....go Taurus!

Restored backup lost my post...

I have one, love it. It is currently back to Taurus due to 1. grooving on the frame and slide (beats me how or why it did that, I do lean towards some Glaser Pow'RBall +P ammo I put through it), and 2. range rounds nosing into the base of the ramp and not feeding. I did stretch out the mag springs, but provided no solution.

The dealer I asked to send it back (no shipping cost to me) stated the last one that they sent to Taurus came back quickly, like in three weeks or so. We'll see...

I carry a 3rd gen PT145 daily. right at around 1000rds through it no failures. It takes a few trips to the range to get used to the Heinie sites but you get used to them. I carry it loaded with 230gr Golden Sabers. Its the gun pictured in my avatar.

Although not really in the same category as what you're looking at though..

I've got a 3d generation PT145 for a month or so. Put about 400 issue free rounds through it. My friend who shoots a Ruger 9mm had a mag feed issue 1 time about 2-weeks ago at the range but I think he was just limp wristing it on that shot. He was really impressed with the size and feel of the gun, though I could tell a significant recoil difference between his 9mm & my .45

I hate this gun! If you're a physicist or something (and, personally, I have a genius IQ -- except when it comes to the Taurus PT-145!), you can figure out who to break it down by the instructions in the included manual. Otherwide, you have to scour the internet to find the repair procedure, because IT'S LOCKED UP!

I traded it for a Bersa .45. Easy to operate, reliable, cheap, and WWAAAYYYY undervalued.

(By the way, I'm not a Taurus detractor in entirety -- as I write this, I have a Model 85 revolver at my side as my 'house gun', with a second speed loader handy. It hurts my hand to practice with, and I'm pretty sure it will hurt an intruder to intrude!)
