Finally shot the model 70 winchester in 257 Roberts with Leupold glass today..... 

 

Wow!!!

 

I love vintage wood and steel in my hands and the round is a dandy!

I don't currently but will. 

I was lucky enough to pick up 6-8 boxes of Hornady Superperformance for $25/box when I first bought it and have snagged random boxes of CoreLokts and Orange/White boxed Winchesters for cheap from time to time. 

 

But yes, could easily become my favorite rifle quickly.

any idea on build date? Those older M70's are freaking amazing. I have a 1966ish M70 in 30-06 that still will hang with my christensen's and R700's
