Damn.  I grew up are less than Ray, ND and my parents are still up there.  I don't know Mr. Sawyer (luckily).  I'll be up there later this Fall and it'll be interesting to ask the local boys about this.

It say anywhere what new toys the ATF seized from these guys?

Truly these guys knew better. FFLs and SOTs should stay far away from gray area stuff.

I'm struggling to find a victim.

There isn’t one.

The streets will be safer now...You took his guns, he has cancer, let him go.

ATF signed off on 90 MG transfers for an Iowa police chief, then the 91 got him in trouble, bruh: who needs a mini gun.

We wouldn't have situations like this if police weren't allowed to own post-ban machineguns either.  Practically every SOT licensee has post-ban full auto blasters because it's fun.  I bet less than 10% of them are for demo purposes.

Don't get me wrong.  I think they and the police should be allowed to have them, but I think we should be allowed to have them too.  It's just that we live in this caste-based society where one group of people gets to own something that another group of people can't, and that rubs me the wrong way.

North Dakota

- population of less than 800,000 and probably over 10 million firearms  😉   (TN population over 7 million)

- area of 70,705 sq miles and you can see the horizon    (TN area of 42,143 sq miles)

Ray, ND has a population of about 700 with the nearest other town of Tioga having about 2,000.  I know it would be giving the feds too much credit but you'd think the ask would have generated some questions.  Not a comment on weather they should be legal or not, just on the flags the ask may have thrown up in this political climate.

Several years ago I remember a conversation with a gun shop owner that said ( all you have to do is get your SOT and there is a police chief in Florida that will give you a letter then you can get new class 3 weapons)  and that is what he did.

I can't agree there. How is wanting to buy/sell guns evil vs just being against a statute?

Thats not what I’m saying.

Statutes that make “crimes” out of actions that don’t actually have a victim are what is evil.

No victim, no crime.

I reckon I’m still unsure what “shall not be infringed” means.

Same thing as "I will release all the footage". They don't answer to us.
