None of the Waffle Houses in TN are properly posted to TN standards - however ALL of them are posted (all I have ever been to). They will ask you to leave if they see you are armed. Best solution to me is to order and eat concealed, go to the toilet after eating and come back out OCing. When they ask you to leave, comply immediately, not taking time to argue OR pay the bill - hey, its a free meal legally (since you must leave as soon as they ask you to - wouldnt want to get a criminal trespass charge for sticking around to pay right?)....

But is it worth having the runs for a week just to get a free meal ?

I have no issues with the Waffle House. I get breakfast there a couple of times a week. The old no firearms, knives, wear a shirt, etc. sign has been there for ages; its all faded and rusted. My G21 is OWB and "covered" by an untucked shirt. I love their cheese eggs, BTW, but I don't eat anything but breakfast when I'm there.

Legislative Action Committee

<HR>The Senate took up the restaurant bill on April 16.

SB1127 / HB0962 passed the Senate on a vote of 26-7 without the House restrictions.

Senators voting NO on restaurant bill were Berke, Burke, Harper, Haynes, Henry, Kyle and Marrerro.

The debate starts in the Senate video at 54:00 minutes. I want to encourage everyone to watch it, its only about 20 minutes but you get a real flavor for the excellent job done on this topic by Senator Doug Jackson and the nature of the arguments opposing us from such Senators as Marrero, Haynes, and Henry.

The effect of this change is to send the bill back to the House for further action which may include adoption, rejection, further amendment and/or sending it to a conference committee.

It is time to put the pressue on the HOUSE to full accept and adopt the Senate's action on HB0962.
