It's understood that you cannot carry weapons on ANY Federal property, so there's no need to post.

Well, it's "federal facility", not "property".

"The term "Federal facility" means a building or part thereof owned or leased by the Federal Government, where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties."

Hence, the recent rule change that you could carry in National Parks, but not in "buildings" ("facilities").

Of course, now that has been halted, too.

Incidentally, you can't even have a pocketknife 2.5" blade or longer or you are just as guilty.

So, I'm sure there are MANY of us who regularly break this law, even if we have left our heater in the car/home.

Rem, did you take the concealed class? It is definently covered in the class in every state. There is NO carry in any federal facility. And they do not have any sense of humor about it.

No I haven't. Honestly I wasn't planning to until maybe May 6 (2 months). I'll probably call Friday. Can't believe you got it that fast.

Btw, check out D.M. Bullard for real nice leather holsters.

went to gatlinburg this week and the bldgs in the park were posted (freshly printed signs). makes me think they are not under the impression the law was halted.

I'd say they had already put them up before the injunction, might as well leave them, as they are valid either way the wind blows on nat'l park carry, eh?
