Out of state, active duty TN resident, gun sale within TN

I am active duty military stationed outside of TN, but the DoD and the State of Tennessee consider me to be a permanent resident of TN--I have a TN driver's license, I own property in TN, I pay TN taxes on it, and my records all list TN as my state of residence. However, according to 18 U.S.C. §921(b) "For the purposes of this chapter, a member of the Armed Forces on active duty is a resident of the State in which his permanent duty station is located." Is this only for allowing the purchase firearms out of state while on active orders? Ultimately, I am a TN resident, correct?

I make short trips to TN from time to time. I have firearms that were transferred to me by FFLs located in TN (when I lived there full-time) that I have brought to each station that I've been assigned to while on active duty. They are added onto my PCS orders each time. I would like to sell some of these firearms on one of my trips back to TN. If I am a legal resident of TN, is this considered interstate sales of firearms?

You can purchase weapons in the state you are based at as well as your home of record as a resident.  For the purpose of sales, you should be considered a resident of both as well.

If you have a TN ID and own property here, you're a TN resident.  Don't tell everybody you like S&M.

OTOH, a private sale is a private sale and requires no gov't involvement.
