He's kinds like herpes pops up every now and then like the plague. Is it legal to buy ammo to resell for profit without a ffl? I know your not supposed to buy guns with the sole intention to resell for profit but is it the Same for ammo?

You could always report him to BATFE.

If you want to mess with him, make up a user ID there and get a webmail address, tell him you want the ammo, arrange a meet and then don't show up. Don't report him to the JBTs, I don't think I'd do that to my worst enemy!

For what?

To get that question answered.

To get that question answered.

Here you go. From the ATF website:

(F11) Is a license required to engage in the business of selling small arms ammunition?

No. A license is not required for a dealer in ammunition only, but a manufacturer or an importer of ammunition must be licensed.

Isn't this just the epitome of what a sad state of affairs we are in. There will always be opportunist's in a free market. I think we enthusiasts want to hold ourselves to a higher standard, but the truth is we aren't.

Visit any gun board right now and you can find numerous topics just like this. People buy gobs of ammo, and components every chance they get. Brag about it, then get offended if someone points out that they are part of the problem. We are the same people that complained when gas was 4 + a gallon. Getting on our soapboxes and telling everyone we shouldn't stand for it. That we should band together, stop driving, etc... Bottom line is we are a bunch of hypocrites. We want, what we want, when we want it. We are used to getting it, and we will run all over out neighbor to get it.

Flame suit on.

His price for the 9 is 13.40 per box.Isn't that about the price from WM for the WWB?

For 9mm he is showing $750 for 2800 rds.

That works out to $26.78 per 100.

WM has WWB for just under $20 per 100 - when you can get it.

I'm thinking the last time I priced WWB it was 12 something for the box of fifty.

Now before the price hikes it was around 10 per,but Ive not seen it that low since

to be completely honest about the situation,

just from my experiences with him on this forum, he is very irritating and i dont like even hearing about him.

BUT, in all honesty i dont blame him for it, would i do it if i had the money, probably not, closest thing would be buy a bunch and sell it to a buddy that asked me to pick it up or him if i saw some and sell it to him for cost. granted i dont like the fact that he is buying up all the ammo around here and selling it for a profit to others. but its not illegal what he's doing.

and as a side note, i think i remember him saying back when he was on the forums here that he was on disability.

So does anybody know his user name here? Who is this guy?

wanna get his goat turn him in to the Tennessee Dept. of Revenue... if he's doing this often they will make him get a buisness license and he will have to pay the sales tax on what he sells.

We should all set up meetings under different webmails, waste this guys time.

He's actually selling 9mm for about the same as most "reputable" online places. Probably a little cheaper, since no shipping charges.

No doubt he paid tax on it when he purchased it, so he'd only owe tax on the difference as the tax he paid would be credited against what he owed for the sale.

Assuming someone would actually purchase ammo from him, the difference in sales tax, at only a few cents on the box, wouldn't make it cost efficient for TDR to pursue. He'd have to find a huge quantity of customers for it to amount to anything.

The business licenses (county & city, I think even though Nashville is metro you have to buy both) would cost him 40 clams or so. I don't know how agressively the local municipalities go after minimum licenses.

Given what I've read about him, it's no doubt wisest just to leave him alone and let him troll for suckers.

At least he is not gouging the market with ridiculously high prices. If I needed what he has I would pay the premium, but I dont need it. I will shoot less and stock pile when needed or at least replenish what I shoot at my leisure.

but if he is a buisness selling for resale, which his actions are indicating... then he needs to get a buisness license and deal with the Dept. of Revenue like everyone else.

If you know someone, maybe if you dont, all it takes is a phone call and he's screwed.
