Tail Gating at a UT game

Going to the Vols game next weekend, are there any specific areas (parking lots or ??) you can tail gate? grilling, cornhole, etc

You are in for an awesome weekend. Depending on where you park here are some tailgating spots Fort sanders area always has good spots. And Around Hess hall.                
Also. Behind Calhouns  there are lots.       The G 10 parking garage. And Volunteer Village.will have lots of activities happening. Can bring a tent. On west side  Hope you have a great time and Go Vols

Daughter lived in Fort sanders for a couple years, I was leaning towards the parking behind Senter Hall, I think I seen TG there in the past.

Tell me more about Calhouns, is that an open parking lot and not just for Calhouns and the river boat company? Lot of room there!!!

How many hours before the game is a good time to show up before everything goes nuts?

Fort sanders always a good bet. I would try there first.   The lots you’re thinking of does belong to Calhoun  can’t park there if going to game but there’s some smaller lots close to it And people start early like 4 to 6 hours before to get a choice spot. If you arrive late a lot will be taken  Fans in RVs begin arriving by Thursday it’s a crazy experience  Hope you have a great time
