I bought this gun a few weeks ago and it is a sweet shooting gun. I just wanted something cheaper to shoot than one of my .45s. I normally shoot twice a week 200-300 rounds a night. The only issue with it is the Crimson Trace grips. I can't seem to get them sighted in correctly. Using the standard night sights I can put 17 rounds in 1 1/2 circle at 40-50 feet. With the laser, It's not that good. Seems like I'm shaking or just can't get it adjusted right. Any thoughts? Anyone else had any issues with this type grip?

On another note, I got a Kimber pro carry II today! That put a smile on my face. I've wanted a Kimber for quite some time, just couldn't swing it.

I'm going to go try it out wednesday evening.:) nate

i have a M & P that i love and we both have used the CT grips (not on the M & P). the laser seemed to be right on out of the box, but to us they where hard to use, because you had to hold the lower than normal for us to see the dot.

Where you shooting in Mt. Juliet that much?

I go to Guns and Leather in Greenbrier frequently. I don't mind the 20 minute ride. Gives me a chance wind up or down depending on direction.

Would this be the same Natedog from SVTOA?

I have a M&P 9mm sub-compact with CT grips, and I find that they lose their zero quite quickly. I also find them harder to sight with because your focusing on the dot rather than the front sight. Anyways, sighting in isn't easy since the allen wrench inserts on the same side as my gun hand.

I have a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II, and have the exact same issue as far as aiming with the laser, vs with the sites. At the range, I'm dead on w/o using the laser; but trying to aim with the laser I'm way off. I found that this is because the laser isn't necessarily fixed with the barrel better then the sites are, and just provides you with a "general" area of where you are aiming. I got the Crimson version though not for laser accuracy, but if a situation comes up to where I can't get in my normal firing position (even if I've got the gun lower down vs aiming higher), but want to make sure I at least hit them, and I think they're pretty much made for situations just like that.

Pics to come soon. I'm having an "ignorant brown haired moment" and can't get the pics to load right.

Doing good Nate, and you're welcome. This is "Snake Doctor" on SVTOA. This forum is much more active.
