Why do you think this country accomplished what it has in just over 200 years???? Many countries have more natural resources. Our people are not smarter than others from around the world. But yet we lead the world in almost everything. It's because our founding fathers did not believe in the decrepit government models of Europe, and created something infinitely better. Yet lefties continue to push us in that direction dooming us to the mediocrity that is Europe. Yeah, real enlightened.

Both the former soviet union and china had or has as much or more natural resources than the U.S. And of course I was not referring to 3rd world countries. I don't think you really read what I wrote. well, I`m not saying socialism is batter or not, I just tried to explain some things.People in USA will chose their destiny and pick the path they want. But to put down another socialist country and at the same time borrowing the money from them to keep our "perfect system" running is hypocritical...we can`t judge other people and their way of life and at the same time getting help from them to continue with ours...something is wrong, too much goverment power or too little? don`t know ... if I knew I would have already tried to help...and another thing, coming from Europe, I don`t think the whole world hates American people, people are the same anywhere, what other people hate is "we are better than anyone else" attitude some American people have, that kind of attitude never helped anyones popularity...and after all, every American has his roots in either European country, African country or somewhere else..unless of course, he is native American...

Sadly, a lot of our youth have been successfully indoctrinated into this from pre-school on up. I'd just about bet your son spent time in college and went to a public HS? I'm not casting stones, believe me. I've just noted that I've been asking young people (30 & under) a few questions lately, and NOT A SINGLE ONE know the answers - not one of the answers - so they are doomed to repeat mistakes they need not make.

Questions:

1. Who was Francis Gary Powers and why do I care?

2. What was the cuban missile crisis about and how did it end?

3. Who shot President Reagan?

4. Who said "Make him an offer he can't refuse."?

5. Who was Robin Olds and what makes him famous?

6. Who or what, was PO2 Michael Monsoor?

7. Did Iraq ever use WMDs?

8. How many airplanes flew into buildings on 9/11?

9. One Muslin cleric said it would take this much anthrax to 330,000 Americans the first day.

10. The second amendment to the US Constitution makes what legal in the whole country?

and btw. I`m from Croatia, that was a part of former Yugoslavia, I lived under the socialism until I was 20 years old..as soon as Croatia got independed and took over "modern western democratic" ideas we got all shebang, drug dealers, problems in healt and education system, crime, mafia killings, corrupt judicial system, rich business/mafia bosses buying factories for few dollars etc... not pretty sight at all...

Nothing against the OP personally, just an observation, but if you want people to take you seriously, work on your typing. Capitalization, periods, question marks, spelling, and fewer "..." would help out tremendously.

I`m sorry if my spelling is not good enough for you, I only speak four foreign languages and sometimes I`m not 100% on. I`m sure you are fluent in all of your foreign languges you speak...

I'm tired of anyone griping about this country, especially when they tell me how much better it was "back home" yet they continue to flock here in droves to what they describe is piss poor!

To have a smelly truck driver out of Canada, who hailed originally from another country of middle eastern descent (he failed to scream what country that was) yell at one of my dispatchers and then rant about America's people and companies that are "scroooing" him (that's how it sounded) all because he failed to check his communications device (quallcom) and didn't know his load was cancelled.

Don't come here and tell me what's wrong with it if you feel its so much better somewhere else. That makes you a hypocrite. I have no desire to live in Croatia, Somalia, New Zealand or anywhere but here. I sure as crap would not move to Croatia and then proceed to tell them "they suck" while partaking of their economy and services.

If you read his entire post, he talks about how the Croatia that he grew up in doesn't exist anymore.

And I don't see any harm in people with different points of view sharing their opinions on what is wrong or right about our country, especially if they have experience living in another country as well as our country.

The person that has lived in the US for their entire life, though, is in a pretty lousy position to be bitching and moaning about how terrible socialism is and how the US is so much better than Europe.

Have you heard of the word "inferred"? It's kind of like logic with words. If you say this + this it = this. That's what the sum of your posts led me to. I have posted no personal attacks at you, only your views of the country you currently reside in.

My trailer happens to be nicely anchored to the ground and since it was built in 1939, is probably the longest lived trailer around, thanks for the compliment.

Also, if you would follow your own so nicely phrased command to read the posts, I never said Croatia sucks. I said I would definitely not go to another country and (inferring again) make statements to the effect that another country that I left to then live there was better. The common American colloquialism is "sucks" now.

Aren't you just the lucky fellow, to move here, live this poor life in a country you obviously don't like to much and want to use it's resources and services but would like them changed to something you like better.
