Weapon Light

I use an olight ladder/light combo with my pk380. The switch is right where my finger is when drawing (keeping it extended and of the trigger), so super easy to hit on the way up. Use a Smart Carry holster and it fits fine.

Do any of you have a weapon light for their pistol?  If so do you carry it IWB or only at home or in your vehicle?  I have never had one on a pistol before.

Streamlight TLR-1 . It is tested and proven by many police departments.

I have a CZ P-01 with a Baldr Olight with light, laser, or both at the same time. I'm very pleased with it as I usually run just the laser, but happy to have the light when I need it to confirm the target.

I also carry a hand flashlight for general searches.

I only carry OWB and it works great. Every handgun I buy now must have a rail for a laser/light.

Good for you , still rocking the phillips-head screw on your grips ! Glad I'm not the only one !

Been looking at the Holosun PID......any feedback

While I for the most part have faith in holosun products, I don't see a huge advantage on being a "newish" adopter of the PID when the Streamlight TLR-1 HL offers very similar performance at a comparable cost.  This is even more relevant on a firearm you are looking to use for defense.

That being said the reviews I have seen on the PID looked good.

Every pistol has a light! I’m not one of the “oh I can’t print!” Guys. Most of the time I use a high and tight OWB holster with my shirt over it. Maybe I should care what others think but I don’t. My weapon is for my safety. I don’t care if the bad guys sees me as a target. Good that means others are not. Hellcat had a TLR7sub, Glock 19,23,&32 all have tlr1s, bed side guns Glock 17  has Baldr Pro and Sig M17 has tlr1. All rifles have lights except AR10 style rifle. But it’s not set up as a. defensive gun. All guns have lights. Maybe I’m scared of the dark!!

I run weapon lights on all my pistols. Home Defense, EDCs, Duty weapons. I carry a flashlight all the time but that is for searching rooms or lighting up an area.  My weapon light is for target identification in dim/low light situations.  I own and use a plethora of lights: Inforce APLs, Streamlight TLR-7s/Sub, Surefire x300, Olight BALDR-S.  I carry AIWB for EDC (P365, P320, G19, G43X, PSA Dagger F&C) and I carry in my G19 and P320s in a duty holster.  I go from outside to inside, day to night and find it just as easy and comfortable to carry a weapon with a light on it, especially appendix carry.  JMTC

I don't carry a light on my carry pistol od my home defense pistol.  Ever since they build that stupid mall a couple of miles away, IT NEVER GETS DARK!  The streetlight out front lights up the front of the house!  I used to live in the country. Now I live in the suburbs. Yet I haven't moved.  I envy you country boys and girls. Seriously though, I don't use a pistol mounted light for a couple of reasons.
