Attended the Sevierville show today plenty of 380 if your willing to pay 35.00 for target loads Traded a Smith 645 with 2 mags for a SIGpro 2340 in 357 Sig LNIB with 2 mags. Any thoughts on how I did ? I'm not real familiar with the SIGpro series and after reading a couple of previous posts, I gotta bad feeling in my gut. Don't spare my feelings, my skin is so thick I don't even wear a vest.

Thanks I've got a P229 which is one of the very few guns I won't trade on. but I kinda took a chance on this Pro series as I don't know that much about them I think with a loaded mag in it, it will balance out pretty well and the trigger seems OK

Was the show worth an hours drive?

Well if your looking to see the latest thing in firearm tech or a super deal, the answer is no. If you enjoy hangin out with the old timers out front swappin lies and looking for a good trade as I do then yes. I enjoyed the show and will probably go back tomorrow. All kidding aside, the show was much improved from last year and if we give it our patronage it will continue to grow

Yea, it was at the Sevierville Fairgrounds. It was kinda small but it's a start. The big tamale is supposed to be at The Knoxville Expo Center 4/18 & 4/19, but for some reason it"s not posted on KEC's website. I'll call them after while and post what I find out

Comparing the value of a SW 645 to a Sig 2340 is going to depend on a couple of factors. Most 645's are going to run around $350-$450 depending on condition and accessories such mags, grips, box, sights. A dealer would ask a lot more for a clean example with original wood grips than a rougher police trade-in for example. Sig Pro's don't resell as well as other Sigs. I have seen them go around here, private sale, around $375. So, to answer your question, if you have just gun for gun, yes fair trade. If your 645 was cherry, in box, etc. maybe a little down, likewise, if it was rough you went up a little.

Nope you did not do good. You broke my first rule of firearm ownership - NEVER sell or trade away any gun. However, since this is your first offense of breaking SmokeyJones law (that I am aware of) I will let you off with a warning and say that the SigPro was a fair trade if you like it better. In the spirit of full disclosure I am a bonafide Sig nut.

I actually went to the show with the intention of selling, to raise money for my AR fund. I'm a Sig nut too, so the rest is history

If you thought it a good deal at the time and the deal is done - enjoy it.

No matter what you trade or purchase, there will always be a better deal around the corner - always. Or a good friend will let you know where you could have saved a few hundred $$$ right after you show it to him - even though he knew for weeks you were looking for a certain item.

Don't look back. Cars, tools, guns, etc - all the same.

...I kid, I kid. you lost a good gun, but you got a new good gun. nothing wrong with that. ;)
