I’m just the opposite, unless it is a single action auto (1911)

same here, I won't carry a gun with a manual safety

I just picked up a Kimber micro 9. We're still getting acquainted but getting along well so far!

I just went to the range and shot 6 different micro 9s.  The Shield Plus was my clear favorite, so I have one inbound.  Does anyone have suggestions for a smaller statured, newer shooter female?  She will likely carry in her purse and light recoil impulse would be a top priority.

My wife carries a Smith 8 shot 22 revolver model 317. Super light, and super simple to operate. She has a concealed carry pocketbook she uses.

Look at the Bodyguard 2.0

But for 9mm, the Shield is a solid choice.

I carry the original hammer-fired Ruger LC9. My wife has a Walther CCP which has had serious teething problems but has drastically improved after two trips back to the factory. When (or if) I am convinced of it's reliability I may carry it instead just because it fits my hand perfectly. And yes to the manual safety.
