Another trip in the way back machine - Pizza place in Nashville

Ok old timers. My father in law remembers a pizza place on West End Ave in Nashville back in the 1960s. It was close to Centennial Park about where the McDonald’s is today.

Does anyone remember it and what it was called?

The only pizza in Nashville I am familiar with is Obie’s over by Vandy.  It was great  and pretty sure is gone now.

Bellagio Pizza and Subs is right off West End on 29th but I don’t believe they have been there since the 1960’s era. Great food though.

Yeah, this is a place that's long gone. He said there was a row of building where the West End McDonald's is now just to the left of the main Centennial Park entrance, and that's where it was.

I was thinking Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, but I believe it was in Green Hills. My dad might remember, he went to Vanderbilt in the late 50’s early 60’s. I’ll ask him tomorrow.

I agree that Mafiaoza's makes a good pie, but they weren't around in 1960s . . .

It wasn't Shakey's.

And they're down on 12th South, not West End by Centennial Park.
Good pizza.  There or the Franklin location which is a pretty chill spot as well.
