Vickers Tactical Master Class 1911 .45

Anybody experienced one, or own one? 
I’m seriously considering one, especially since Dan Wesson has priced themselves out of my reach at this time. 
Wilson Combat slide stop, safety, hammer and sear. Some level of attention from Springfield’s custom shop. I’ve read that it’s sort of in between the TRP and the Professional. I’m sure it’s better than my Springfield Lightweight Operator, but is it better than my TRP Operator? King’s Firearms contacted Lipsey’s and attached my name to one when they come in, but I want to do a little more studying before that happens.

From the chatter on the various 1911 forums it’s my understanding that Springfield Armory has discontinued the Vickers Master Class.They only made 2 runs of them.It is still on their website.I handled one at GT Distributors a couple years ago and was impressed enough that I put my name on the waitlist,I was 3rd in line. No more ever came in and the one on display went into their private collection I assume because they don’t sell their display models if it’s the only one they have in the store.

The ones I found are $2000+, so I don't know how that compares to the Dan Wesson's in price guess it depends on the model of them.

A dealer priced it to me at $1460, about $1650 out the door. Maybe it’s worth it. I dunno

I feel kind of lucky. For finding one with never even looking for one. I had a TRP at one point.  Loved it.  I went into my LGS to get another one.  Well. There were 3 people camped out at the 1911 case waiting on back ground checks.  So I told the sales guy what I was looking for. “ I  looking for a TRP or semi custom 1911”   He brought out an all black TRP, a Colt Gold Cup, and this Vickers 1911.   Honestly I have never heard of this Vickers Master Class. I   Have been doing the revolver thing for a while.   After seeing it with a once over.  I was like “wrap it up, I’ll take it.”  No question a top shelf  1911.  I  also like special run or hard to find guns.  
Was on my way to the range and shot it within an hour of buying it.  Put 100 rounds through it without thinking twice.  This is a sweet 1911, getting so much for the money.  It is so well made, beautiful, and shoots as good as you can shoot.  I feel if your skill is 8shots in a dime area at 10 yards.  This 1911 can do that without blinking an eye. It’s a Generational Gun.  110%.

That is actually good.  Mine was not MSRP but $100 more or so than the TRP.

GT Distributors contacted me earlier this year and told me they had a Vicker’s Master Class come in.It was priced almost $500 more than the first run.I passed on it and last time I was in there it was gone. I found an Emissary locally for a ridiculously low price. I’m going to have a local gunsmith who does great work replace the internal parts with Harrison Custom ones and do a trigger job with those.I’ll still come out cheaper than the original price of the Master Class with was I think $1,500.
