Bank Fishing Below Percy Priest Dam

Anyone here ever fished from the bank below the dam at Percy Priest?  Catch anything?  Best bait and tackle?  I see folks over there all the time and have thought about giving it a try.

I have caught trout there after they stock it.  Used ultra light rig with jigs/rooster tails and or corn.

Supposedly you can catch hybrid and striper there when they are generating but I have not fished for them there.

A lot of people do. I think they are catching stripe. Too far from home for me to try.

I have not fished below Priest dam but in the evenings from about 6PM till dark you can fish below Old Hickory dam using spinning gear and throw a 3 hook Rapala and catch some nice 4 & 5 pound Walleye when they are running 1 generator and you get about 50- 75 yards below the dam.

I haven't tried it yet, but it's definitely on my list this year. 

Do you time it based on water flow?

Back years ago a few friends of mine did some Rockfish angling during the generation cycles and did well. They were fishing a bait called a Red Fin.
