Friend in tornado

A friend just called to let me know he was just in a tornado on Murfreesboro Rd.

According to him, 3 or 4 of those oragne construction barrels lifted straight off the ground and shot towards his truck like a speeding bullet. He pulled into the McDonalds near Briley Pkwy and Murfreesboro Rd. As he exited his truck for cover inside the McDonalds, the tornado touched down on the opposite side of the road, taking out the front of a building (tire shop) and 3 or 4 telephone poles.

TDR, I'm sitting here in my office in Hendersonville down near Drakes Creek, listening to it roar toward Millersville. Going to head home in a few minutes. Waiting for the "all-clear"

I'm in H'ville, near the Waffle House and Exxon station. It is now calm over this way. We had some serious rain for about 15 minutes, but no strong winds that I was able to see.

The worst is yet to come. Based on the local news, the worst will be late tonight.

The shop I work out of is right in that area. I was there for a little bit this afternoon, it was coming down hard. 99.7 said that the following lines would probably die out before they got here, but I haven't checked the radar to see if that's the case. Hope so.
