Info. on Yugo Toks. M-57!

Just a heads-up, if youre a Tok. nut like me, the m-57 has only been avail. about 2 months, these have a longer grip and take 1 more round than all other Toks, so it's a must have!

I have not found any locally and dont want to order one sight unseen, since i never had any luck and get a piece of junk. From all the forums/pictures i have been reading, very few are in exc.+ cond. and most seem to have different no. and the finish is fair at best as well as some have missing parts and come only with 1 original mag and 1 reg. which wont work, also many do not seem to have the fancy Yugo crest.

I did find a vendor who is taking pre-orders for exc. cond. with holster,2 mags. with crest for $269. + $19. shipp. to FFL. So i am down for one, does anybody in the Chatt. area know if Skips is still open and does tranfers? I havent used Skips since Dec. but he charges $30. to due the transfer, which is the cheapest in my area.

PS. My buddy Spuds contacted me to tell me, he had found 1 at the Smyrna show last week, but parts were electro-pen. and the finish looked like , so i guess the above is my best option of getting a exc.to mint one!

Thanks, James:D

:cool:Yes,Spuds that was me. My handle on some boards as you know is vz58kid, when i had joined last yr. i was vacationing at my summer villa in West Palm Beach! Just like when you asked me about living in Marion County, i had told you, that i inherited a house & prop. there from an Uncle and spent a lot of time there also.

I saw your post and thought it was funny, but did not know that it was you either at first, since you have a different avatar and handle on that forum.

I think this is the best chance of getting an excellent one, one thing i would not want is, he said he found some made with new parts, like the yugo SKSs,

those are parts guns and i have no interest in those.

So i guess i will contact SKIP by Wed. and have him fax his FFL and hopefully have the gun by the foll. Mon.

I do hope he can find one like i want, he said he will do his best and if he cant find one to fit my discriminating taste, then i will pass and hope to eventually find one to suit my needs.

Remember i had spend over 2 yrs. looking for another CZ52 till you sold me one, and i had spent 1 yr. loking for a Rom. Tok. till you found me one at Valu Pawn.

I would pay a lot more than $269. for a mint one, and no, i dont need one autographed by Tito!

Well keep me updated, since he said, he will let me know, if he finds one to meet my needs, i will see you in Knox. in a few.

Thank's :screwy:

Best wishes, Joe

PS. If you dont like it, you could always sell it in Knox. this weekend, these gun's seem to be very scarce!

I guess that's some sort of cleaning tool in the last pic. Can't get the $&%(# thing out, it's stuck.

Pistol is still coated pretty much with cosmolene, 'specially the innards. I think (hope) the spots on the slide are fingerprints in the cosmolene coat.

Thank's looks quite good, but you will have to detail clean it really good!

On the tool, it should come out with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Please let us know how she cleans up, do you like the gun? The holster also is in great shape!

Well, after all this reading, i went and ordered 1 from Fam.Fire.&Finish.

I just picked it up, and Shock is the best way to describe it!

Mint, blueing 100% all matching, seems un-issued!

Holster is also new tan/yellow, it exceeds all my expectations!

Oops, i sort of expected that response!

Like i had said in my other post, about the Knox. Show, i did really enjoy meeting you and Kidvz58 at the show, but i also told both of you i am very Comp. iliterate!

But i will post some pictures in the next week or two, once i learn how,

My Girlfriend was going to do it, but she got a little mad, about another new gun, seems she thinks i love my guns more than her!

I will have to clean the gun really good, the cosmo. is everywhere and stinks, i have a lot of stuff going on at this time, but i promise picture will be up within 2 weeks!

Thank's Joe

Spuds, here you go!

Learned how to do pictures with my cell-phone but after i got them on my comp. they were to dark, so i got my Girlfriends camera and took these, they are better.

However they still are to dark and dont really show the nice blueing, which is 100% with none missing and no scuff marks, there is a ton of Cosmo on the gun & mag.

I still have not learned how to post the pict. here, so i put up a link.

PS. You only ended up waiting 2 days.

Sling,B) the Tok's do shoot steel core ammo, which penetrates level 111 Body Armor & Trauma Plates with ease, avg. velocity 1725 fps with certain ammo. Ammo is dirt cheap.

These Yugo M-57 are extremely desired, since they hold 9 rounds, all others only 8, these have longer mag & grip, and these were rare since none ever were sold, these are sort of the "Holy Grail" of Toks.

It is almost impossible to find 1 in unissued cond. like mine!B)

Hope that answers your question!

Gorgeous gun, you got there joe, as soon as i can scrape up some coin, i would also love to get one.

Anyway, i just want to thank you, joe and Spuds and Slim Tim as well as vz58kid, i had the pleasure of meeting all of you at the last show in Knox. at Spuds table, and you all told me about this great forum.

I hope i can meet you all again at the next show, if i can make it, since it is a Holiday weekend and i have family coming from out of state.

If i cant make it, i will make the one in East Ridge, the week after!

Best wishes, Bullwinkle!

:)
