Stopped by yesterday afternoon. $8 to get in.

It would be worth going of you want to buy $1000 mosin 91/30's (ya, you read that right), $125 bricks of primers, $700 700 rd spam cans of Romanian X39 ammo, $1500 home build AR's, knives, jerky, and some odd ball lorcin/raven .25 ACP mags. Only thing I walked out with was a $25 repro Garand sling.

I miss the days of mil-surplus stores everywhere and Gun Shows that were actually Gun Shows.  Nowadays I mostly just order on the net as that’s where most of the only deals are anymore, but there is something so hollow in that.  I miss the smell (a lovely faint essence of cosmoline, gun leather, and cigars) and the tactile nature of it all.  I remember when my favorite mail was the latest Shotgun News.

Some of the shows were huge. Bob Pope had a good show and some collector group in Memphis had the biggest and best show I had ever seen. I remember getting Lake City 7.62x51 case of 1,000 for $200 including tax.

Well..glad I didn't risk going. Would have been a real problem for me, and a disapointment as well.

Like all above, I miss the golden days of real Gun Shows! Where you could find hidden treasures and great guns; good people and some good buys, and could leave thinking...how am I going to explain all this stuff to my wife?

I haven't had to do that since roughly 2011-2012.

The old shows at the Nashville Fairgrounds were great 30 years ago - I remember coming out of those with armloads of goodies.  I go to one of the local shows now maybe once a year and keep leaving saying "never again" ..

I think I have been to about all the mid TN area shows within a 150 to 175 mile range of Clarksville.

Same Ole lame Ole sellers.

75% of em sheisters on fed welfare as a way of life programs IMO and playing the game AFAIC.

Many of em dont hunt or shoot.

and they sure got some BS stories.

A few are decent folks and I have done some business with them over the years.

Sometimes you might run into a"deal" Via a person on the floor.

or you might find that one buyer on the floor who appreciates and knows you are selling something at a good price and is more than estatic to buy your gun.

Then ya run into sellers on the floor who think sentimental atta5chment translates into ridiculous price or they think they are gonna get MSRP for junk.

Just make sure you over pronounce TN license exam between both parties if doing a private sale or buy on the floor.

Confirm TN residence at a minimum...

Never know who is watching you fed wise.

I ain't never been to the Jackson Show. ThInking about the early July one...

And the sheer humanity entertainment value of gunshows is worth the price of admission.

Aside from being stuck around a stinking mofo in a aisle or table at times.

🤢🤣🤣🤢
